Our Mini-Guide to Wedding Music

Ariana_strings_01_black.png

We're so excited to be a part of your wedding day! We are so often asked for ceremony music recommendations, so we've made a page to help guide and inspire you. Please note that not every song in each ensemble's repertoire, so definitely check with the full song list for your chosen musical group.

Tips:

01.  Remember there are NO RULES. Really! If you love wedding traditions, include them. If they're not your cup of tea, scrap 'em. These are tried and true favorites, but they may not be your style. I encourage you to look over your ensemble's full list.

02.  Check out our Samples page for inspiration. Many of these songs are on that page (Don't forget to click "Load more" at the bottom. We have a lot!)

03.  Want to personalize your parent processional? Ask your parents what their favorite songs are and surprise them on the day.

04.  Don't be afraid to pick upbeat music for the processionals. Many couples have told me how they worried that the bridesmaids will sprint down the aisle if the music is fast. Don't worry - their heels will slow them down!

05.  Torn between songs? Tell me and I'll include it them in another part of your wedding day.

06. Not sure where to start? Be brutal. Yes, brutal! Think about how you picked a photographer. There were photos you loved and then photos you hated. Take that same mindset and bring it over to music. If you YouTube "Rondeau by Mouret" and it makes you happy, add it to the list. If it doesn't, strike it out.

07.  Don't be afraid to ask me for help. You can always add personal performance consultation to your booking. I'll be happy to perform your requests live so you can get a better sense of how everything will sound.

08. Remember there are NO RULES. I know I wrote that as Tip #1, but it's really important. Pick what you love!
